how make Creamy Fish Dinner

A creamy fish dinner is a comforting and satisfying dish that’s perfect for any night

### Ingredients

- 4 white fish fillets (such as cod, haddock, or tilapia)

- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 cup heavy cream

- 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth

- 1/4 cup white wine (optional)

- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

- Optional: 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

### Optional Side Dishes

- Steamed vegetables (like broccoli, green beans, or carrots)

- Mashed potatoes or rice

### Instructions

**1. Prepare the Fish:**

- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and a pinch of paprika.

**2. Cook the Fish:**

- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.

- Add the fish fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside.

**3. Make the Creamy Sauce:**

- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

- Pour in the white wine (if using) and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.

- Add the chicken or vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

- Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

- If you like a cheesy flavor, you can stir in the grated Parmesan cheese at this point.

- Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and an additional pinch of paprika to taste.

**4. Combine the Fish with the Sauce:**

- Return the cooked fish fillets to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.

- Simmer for another 2-3 minutes to warm the fish through and let the flavors meld together.

**5. Serve:**

- Garnish the creamy fish with chopped fresh parsley.

- Serve the fish with your choice of side dishes, such as steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
