HOW MAKE BURGERS
Making a burger is a delicious adventure! Here’s a basic recipe to get you started:
### Ingredients:
- **Ground beef:** Choose a lean-to-medium blend, around 80/20 lean to fat ratio.
- **Burger buns:** Select your favorite type, like sesame seed, brioche, or whole wheat.
- **Cheese:** Cheddar, American, Swiss, or your preference.
- **Lettuce, tomato, onion:** For toppings.
- **Condiments:** Ketchup, mustard, mayo, BBQ sauce, etc.
- **Salt and pepper:** To season.
- **Optional extras:** Pickles, bacon, avocado, sautéed mushrooms, etc.
### Instructions:
1. **Preheat your grill or skillet** to medium-high heat.
2. **Divide the ground beef** into evenly sized portions, usually about ¼ to ⅓ pound each. Gently shape them into patties, being careful not to overwork the meat.
3. **Season both sides of each patty** with salt and pepper. You can also add other seasonings if you like, such as garlic powder or onion powder.
4. **Cook the patties** on the grill or skillet for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer well-done. Make sure to flip them only once.
5. **While the patties are cooking**, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
6. **When the patties are almost done**, place a slice of cheese on top of each one and allow it to melt.
7. **Assemble your burgers** by placing the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Add your desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and condiments.
8. **Top with the other half of the bun** and serve hot!
Feel free to customize your burgers with your favorite ingredients and flavors. Enjoy your homemade masterpiece!
